Koickal Govt. Higher Secondary school established more than 100 years ago. Janab Thankal Kuju Musaliar, a famous industrialist in Cashew also studied in this school. All of his family members undergone education in this school.

This is known as pattur kavu, its a worship place for a few families who have been put up here for a long time. This ' kavu' is very much associated with Ammannada temple. major festivals associated this temple are 'kuruthi', uchara and sivarathri. Place is around three Km from kollam ( east side- on the lies in kollam- ayathil road)junction ,best land mark is amman nada temple or pattur kavu.

hey don't go to study in this college. Because all things in this college is wrong. One hod is there his name is Roby Surendran. He is thinking he is the only one person who know to teach the lessons. You know once he teach one paper in the MCA class and in the university exams no questions from his part.Frotunately only we people pass the exam.... Another thing is that the chairpersons , they are not conducting any recruitment over there . The Chair person have lot of organizations over there. So he is not giving any importance to this institute. If you are planning to go to this colg na think and go..... thats my advice....v r people suffered a lot from there.....any way better to take admission on some other colgs.... Best of luck.....
